Chis was born to an Elven family. Her mother looked on her and saw a Darkness much like that of the Drow. Her mother knew that if Chis was seen by other Elves, they would kill her, so she took the babe to the UnderDark and left her upon the doorstep of Qu'Ellar Sar'Nav'ell. She had heard Eisa was most highly respected among Drow, and feared and revered throughout all of Thera.

Eisa found the babe and took her in, raising her in the ways of the Drow. Eisa could see the Darkness, and no other being ever realized Chis had been born to a surface Elf.

Chis was told of her parentage, and she remained loyal to Lloth and her Qu'Ellar, however, as time passed, she began to feel strange yearnings and act differently. She was a torn soul. She had lost her touch at assassinations, and no longer found bliss in torturing others.

She became desperate and unsure of herself. She now doubted her own instincts and abilities, a deadly thing in her profession, and hated the gentler side of herself. She threw herself into the Arms of Lloth to end her torment and anguish, but Lloth had other plans and found Chis's plight amusing.

Lloth gave Chis's body to the gentle side of her soul, a being which came to be known as Calywen, who traveled throughout Thera like a young child, finding joy in the smallest things.

Chis herself was given the body of a human child born to Reznar and Kyona. She retained all knowledge of her former skills and abilities, and served Lloth well as a child assassin. As Chis matured in her human form, she was dangerously beautiful, and few could resist her charms. She became adept at not only the skills of assassination and thievery, but seduction as well, which was most beneficial when dealing with the upper class genre of Thera.

While Chis is still growing in human form, she has lived a long life and learned much about herself and how best to aid her Qu'Ellar, by any means necessary. She is Lloth's chosen Qu'El'velguk.
